Hi my name is Sookie!  I'm a very sweet, friendly and well mannered girl.  I'm about 5 years old and about 15 pounds.  I adjusted very quickly to my foster home.  Had no problem making myself at home!  I like to sit next to you on the couch or in your lap.  Belly rubs are a favorite, as is time in the yard as you can see from my pictures.  I am very smart and also protective of my foster family.  I don't like to be disturbed while I am sleeping so you might want to be a little cautious if you wake my up suddenly.   Sometimes, it takes a little while before I warm up to new people since I prefer to get to know them a little beforehand. I will need a fenced in yard though because I just love to chase the squirrels wherever they go. Happy Tails Rescue only adopts our dogs to people who live within a 60 mile radius of the Twin Cities and only within the state of MINNESOTA due to our home visit requirement.

 

Please understand that we are a small group of unpaid volunteers and don't have the resources to travel further than that.

All of our cats and dogs are INDOOR pets and are NOT to be left outside unattended (even in a fenced yard), or running loose!
