Meet Gizmo, a very friendly, playful little guy.  He loves playing fetch and loves any toy he can chew on.  He just finished Obedience class so he can sit, stay, heel, high five, and roll over now.  (At least he'll do the commands for treats.)  He is still working on 

 Gizmo seems to be very intelligent as well as stubborn.  For the most part, he is very quiet.  The only time he barks is when he gets too excited playing, wants something like people food, or is being left alone.  Gizmo would much rather be around people all the time but is getting used to being alone part of the day.  All in all, he is learning how to behave and like all puppies is getting better the more time he spends in his foster home.  He doesn’t like being brushed either but is learning to appreciate that also. He loves walks and is doing well on a leash.

 Overall, Gizmo is a very loving, happy boy.  He might do better in a family with older children since he's likes to play a little rough and might be a little too jumpy for little ones.  He would also prefer a family that isn't gone too much during the day since he doesn’t like being alone.  He expects a lot of playtime with his new family and would make a wonderful addition to any family!

Happy Tails Rescue only adopts our dogs to people who live within a 60 mile radius of the Twin Cities and only within the state of MINNESOTA due to our home visit requirement.

 

Please understand that we are a small group of unpaid volunteers and don't have the resources to travel further than that.

All of our cats and dogs are INDOOR pets and are NOT to be left outside unattended (even in a fenced yard), or running loose!
