Description:
Hi, my name is Otis. I'm between 5 and 6 years old and I am an extremely handsome Bloodhound mix. I walk very nicely on a leash and I just love to go for long walks. In fact, I need a long walk everyday because I'm not into other types of excercise (ie. playing fetch). People think that just because I'm a Bloodhound, all I want to do is lay around and look cute. Although I am very good looking, I am a "working" dog and need a purpose in life.

I have had a little training previously, but my former owners and I did not complete the obedience course due to family problems. They also did not give me the exercise and attention that I was begging for, so I started acting out and that's how I ended up with Happy Tails. I've completed obedience school with my foster parents and earned my diploma! I'm very smart!! I'm also kennel and housetrained. I have the potential to be an exceptional companion, but I do need to find someone who has experience with my breed and will keep my body and mind active.

Please give us a call if you would like more information or if you wish to meet me, please complete our Pre-Adoption Application.

PLEASE NOTE:
Happy Tails Rescue only adopts our dogs to people who live within a 60 mile radius of the Twin Cities and only within the state of MINNESOTA due to our home visit requirement.

Please understand that we are a small group of unpaid volunteers and don't have the resources to travel further than that.

All of our cats and dogs are INDOOR pets and are NOT to be left outside unattended (even in a fenced yard), or running loose!
