I finally have a name just in time for my 4 month birthday on the 29th! Jabu is Swahili for brave one. My foster mom says I am well on my way to being house trained. I am kennel trained at night. I love to play with anything I can get ahold of. Foster mom says I have a sneaky cat way about me (like all Basenji's)...I found the toilet paper roll today and boy was that fun! I like to pluck the stuffing from stuffed toys and run off with the newspaper (preferrably the section you are reading). Laser lights are mighty cool too. I have already learned that I have to 'wait' before going in and out doors. Foster mom says I'm smart as a whip and that I'm all Basenji pup... Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

The breeds of our dogs and cats are a "best guess." We often do not know what mix they are and have to base it on what we think they look like, and base it on breeds often found in the area they came from. Most of our dogs who have gotten DNA tests done are 4-10 breeds mixed together. Because their breed mix is a guess we cannot guarantee a "full grown size" of many of our younger animals.

Happy Tails Rescue Minnesota is located at 7331 Baker St NE, Fridley MN 55432. We are open for adoption events from 12-5 every Sunday. If there is a certain animal you want to meet at one the events please fill out a preadoption application to directly contact their foster family or check our Facebook page to see if they will be there! Their event attendance is based on the availability of their foster family.

All of our cats and dogs are INDOOR pets and are NOT to be left outside unattended (even in a fenced yard), or running loose!
