Penny (formerly Cinnamon) is a great girl! She loves to cuddle in the morning when she first wakes up. Then, she is ready to play fetch with her favorite toy--a Santa that says "ho, ho, ho!" She loves to explore our backyard and woods, where she finds lots of playmates--frogs and bugs. She's also an avid gardener--she loves to pull weeds and eat daylilies. Penny is so smart and knows lots of tricks now. She can sit, lay down and give you both paws when asked. She's also potty trained. She loves it when all the kids come over to play with her. And she kisses them all goodbye when they leave. We are so happy to have Penny in our family. Christine, Dan and Siobhan (9/17/08)

Hello all! I just wanted to take a moment and update you on Charlie the yellow lab, whose name is now Jake =). We first met Jake and his foster mom, Lin, at a Petsmart adoption day. The second we saw him we knew he was going to be a perfect fit. However, we were in the process of buying a house and the person we were living with was allergic to dogs so we couldn’t adopt him when we met him. Lin was kind enough to let us take Jake on weekends because it would be about another month until we moved in and could officially adopt him. We adopted him August 4, 2007. It was the day after my fiancé and I moved into our new home. I remember the day like it was yesterday, it was yucky weather and poor Laura (volunteer at Happy Tails) had been painting her house, I believe, and had to come out in the rain to do the home visit. Anyway, Jake has been doing wonderfully at our home! When we first got him he didn’t like toys but that changed in an instant. He just needed someone to spend time and play with him. We even got him to go swimming up at the cabin! He was a little confused at first — I don’t think he had ever been in water before. We also took lots of boat rides and he loved that! He has been such a wonderful addition to our family and has grown so much since we adopted him! He especially loves to play with my sister’s dog, Trinity, who is a Siberian Husky and Dustin’s parent’s dog, Abby, who is a Golden Retriever/Lab mix. They are so much fun to watch! Thank you so much for everything! Georgia & Dustin

We decided to name her Molly, but my son calls her Cubby because she looks so much like a bear cub! She's smart, inquisitive and playful, but settles down beautifully too. Heather and I took her to PetSmart this morning to buy some more chew toys (she'd rather chew on our toes). She is loving all the little adventures and guests stopping in to meet her. She even went to church yesterday to meet new friends when I picked Heather up from her program. All in all, things are going great and we love having "Molly" in our family! I've wondered if her foster family is missing her. She's such a sweetie, would you be able to let them know she's doing well and we love her a lot?
