Lil' Dickens came into our rescue group when his owner passed away. His foster parents say that he is a quiet guy who does like to be pet and he really likes to be brushed (he has long hair that will need to be groomed often!). And he follows his foster parents around because he likes to be in the same room with them! But he isn't really the overly lovey-dovey type of guy (no PDA - public displays of affection!), and he has a strict 'no laps' policy. He is becoming more open and relaxed since he is getting used to his transition. He is calm and quiet and gentle natured and would make a great companion for someone who would just appreciate his quiet company. He needs someone to take care of him and give him all the love he had before the loss of his person. As long as you can follow his policies - you will make a great match with Dickens!
Notes: Dickens doesn't seem to be bothered by his foster parents other cat, but doesn't care to have anything to do with it either. He's impartial! We have not exposed him to dogs or children while in our care so we are not sure how he would do with either.
The breeds of our dogs and cats are a "best guess." We often do not know what mix they are and have to base it on what we think they look like, and base it on breeds often found in the area they came from. Most of our dogs who have gotten DNA tests done are 4-10 breeds mixed together. Because their breed mix is a guess we cannot guarantee a "full grown size" of many of our younger animals.

If there is a certain animal you want to meet at one the events please fill out a preadoption application to directly contact their foster family or check our Facebook page to see if they will be there! Their event attendance is based on the availability of their foster family.
All of our cats and dogs are INDOOR pets and are NOT to be left outside unattended (even in a fenced yard), or running loose!
