Emmitt was in foster care for 4 months in Tulsa after getting hit by a car and having his leg amputated. He arrived in Minnesota on January 2nd. He is a strong, beautiful, sweet baby looking for a forever home. He loves kids. It took him about a week to be comfortable playing with our dog. It took him about a week to be quiet and comfortable in his crate. He hasn't had any accidents in the house, enjoys car rides, likes to go for walks and is doing great on a leash now that we have a harness that fits him. Emmitt loves cheese, belly rubs and chasing a ball in the snow.

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats
Special Needs: three legs!
The breeds of our dogs and cats are a "best guess." We often do not know what mix they are and have to base it on what we think they look like, and base it on breeds often found in the area they came from. Most of our dogs who have gotten DNA tests done are 4-10 breeds mixed together. Because their breed mix is a guess we cannot guarantee a "full grown size" of many of our younger animals.

If there is a certain animal you want to meet at one the events please fill out a preadoption application to directly contact their foster family or check our Facebook page to see if they will be there! Their event attendance is based on the availability of their foster family.
All of our cats and dogs are INDOOR pets and are NOT to be left outside unattended (even in a fenced yard), or running loose!
