Alexis (boxer-shepherd mix?) is an initially timid but very friendly dog. She might take a while to warm up but when she does always wants to be close. Insists on pets and snuggling. Would probably do better in a low-key household as a close companion. Not much so far for romping or playing outside. Not a lap dog, but content to be on the floor next to you almost all day. Very gentle on the walks and car rides. Ignores resident cats. House-trained pretty well but she goes out every few hours anyway.
Alexis is a sweet girl, very affectionate. Cute underbite. She is under weight but will be working on putting weight back on. Her foster is teaching her basic commands. She is a little shy at first, but then is all personality.
Prior to adoption I will be altered, vaccinated, health checked, dewormed, and micro-chipped.

Happy Tails Adoption Center is open on Sundays from 12-5pm. We are located at 7940 University Ave NE, Fridley. Dogs are at events based on the availability of their foster family. Please fill out a pre-adoption application so we know you are interested in meeting/adopting one of our animals.

The breeds of our dogs and cats are a "best guess." We often do not know what mix they are and have to base it on what we think they look like, and base it on breeds often found in the area they came from. Most of our dogs who have gotten DNA tests done are 4-10 breeds mixed together. Because their breed mix is a guess we cannot guarantee a "full grown size" of many of our younger animals.
Happy Tails Rescue Minnesota is located at 7331 Baker St NE, Fridley MN 55432.We are open for adoption events from 12-5 every Sunday. If there is a certain animal you want to meet at one the events please fill out a preadoption application to directly contact their foster family or check our Facebook page to see if they will be there! Their event attendance is based on the availability of their foster family.
All of our cats and dogs are INDOOR pets and are NOT to be left outside unattended (even in a fenced yard), or running loose!
