Hey there, I'm Ruger, but they should have called me Romeo because everyone who meets me falls madly in love with me!! I'm very snuggly and love to stand with my head between your knees while you massage me and talk softly to me. I'm 3 years old and spent most of that time with very little human contact, so now I'm soakin' up all the love I can get and I'm lovin' every minute of it. My foster mom says I'm a really good boy and great snuggler. I have free run of the house while she's at work and I'm quite well behaved, but I have also stayed in a kennel before and was ok with that, too.

Since I'm a lab mix, I need all the exercise I can get and I would love to go for long walks in the park, or even go running or rollerblading with my new family/person someday! I wasn't sure what to do with a tennis ball at first, but I'm learning that they are fun to chase and chew on!! If you take me to (obedience) school, I will prove to you just how smart I really am. A fenced yard would be a bonus, but it's not absolutely necessary. My foster mom agreed to give me a temporary place to stay while I wait for my forever home. Now that she knows me so well, she wishes she could keep me because I'm so darn lovable, but she will be moving in a few months, so I need to find my forever family soon. Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

The breeds of our dogs and cats are a "best guess." We often do not know what mix they are and have to base it on what we think they look like, and base it on breeds often found in the area they came from. Most of our dogs who have gotten DNA tests done are 4-10 breeds mixed together. Because their breed mix is a guess we cannot guarantee a "full grown size" of many of our younger animals.

Happy Tails Rescue Minnesota is located at 7331 Baker St NE, Fridley MN 55432. We are open for adoption events from 12-5 every Sunday. If there is a certain animal you want to meet at one the events please fill out a preadoption application to directly contact their foster family or check our Facebook page to see if they will be there! Their event attendance is based on the availability of their foster family.

All of our cats and dogs are INDOOR pets and are NOT to be left outside unattended (even in a fenced yard), or running loose!
