My name is Pirate and I am as handsome as they come! When you talk to me I answer back, and some times I have much more to say than what you would expect! I like to roll onto my back and reach out to you with my paw while giving you those cute pouty kitty eyes! What a ham I am! As you will see by my "pirate" eye, I was given something extra special at birth and the ladies think it makes me quite dreamy! I was previously in a foster home and I did well with other cats and dogs. If you are looking for a charming, handsome, and friendly feline companion, I am your guy!
More about Pirate
Good with Dogs, Good with Cats
Special Needs: Pirate has an eye condition (since birth) where his one eye duct doesn't produce tears - essentially "dry eye". Therefore it requires him to have prescription eye drops (inexpensive) put in twice a day. It is possible that this could be long term, but it could possibly also get better over time. Please don't let this get in the way of giving him his new forever home. He is a very wonderful boy!
The breeds of our dogs and cats are a "best guess." We often do not know what mix they are and have to base it on what we think they look like, and base it on breeds often found in the area they came from. Most of our dogs who have gotten DNA tests done are 4-10 breeds mixed together. Because their breed mix is a guess we cannot guarantee a "full grown size" of many of our younger animals.
Happy Tails Rescue Minnesota is located at 7331 Baker St NE, Fridley MN 55432.We are open for adoption events from 12-5 every Sunday. If there is a certain animal you want to meet at one the events please fill out a preadoption application to directly contact their foster family or check our Facebook page to see if they will be there! Their event attendance is based on the availability of their foster family.
All of our cats and dogs are INDOOR pets and are NOT to be left outside unattended (even in a fenced yard), or running loose!

We find beauty in the most incomprehensible places and the otherwise homely faces. It is our gift to see beyond the dirt, terror, sadness and the defeat to find the true soul that lies within. We are rescue." We are...
