Hi, my name is Smokey and my brother Sunny and I came into the group together. Our people were no longer able to care for us due to health problems. We were pretty scared and confused when we arrived, but from what I hear, most animals are when they go to a new home.
What I can tell you about mtself is that I am completely house trained, and have not had one accident since I've arrived. I really enjoy sleeping in my kennel at night and when my foster goes to work. I love to be outside running around in the yard and playing with my brother and foster brother, and little power naps on the back of the couch, unless you are sitting there, then I would prefer to sit next to you and snuggle.
We'll try and get some better pictures of me soon. I'm not easy to photograph due to everytime I see my foster people, I want to be near them!
If you are interested in meeting me, please complete our Pre-Adoption Application or send an e-mail or give a call.

Smokey's brother, Sunny (adopted) can also be seen on our website.
The breeds of our dogs and cats are a "best guess." We often do not know what mix they are and have to base it on what we think they look like, and base it on breeds often found in the area they came from. Most of our dogs who have gotten DNA tests done are 4-10 breeds mixed together. Because their breed mix is a guess we cannot guarantee a "full grown size" of many of our younger animals.
Happy Tails Rescue Minnesota is located at 7331 Baker St NE, Fridley MN 55432.We are open for adoption events from 12-5 every Sunday. If there is a certain animal you want to meet at one the events please fill out a preadoption application to directly contact their foster family or check our Facebook page to see if they will be there! Their event attendance is based on the availability of their foster family.
All of our cats and dogs are INDOOR pets and are NOT to be left outside unattended (even in a fenced yard), or running loose!

We find beauty in the most incomprehensible places and the otherwise homely faces. It is our gift to see beyond the dirt, terror, sadness and the defeat to find the true soul that lies within. We are rescue." We are...
