Sparky
Sparky

We have renamed Sparky, Garfield. I have a 14 year old son, two other cats and a german shepherd and a golden retriever, too. It took him about 3 weeks to fully adjust to all the chaos here. He loves my brown tabby Persian, Chynna. They play together frequently throughout the day, sleep together, and wash each others faces. My calico Persian has a tolerance for him and sort of plays with him, but it could be a mild fight - I'm not sure. They eat side by side with no problems and they do not growl at each other. The dogs love him, but he is a little tense around them, which makes the dogs more excited and they want to go after him. They've never hurt him. If he is calm and sleeping, the dogs ignore him. He sleeps about 2 feet away from my german shepherd every night in my bed. I have a 2400 square foot house and he has full run of it. I have a pool in my backyard with a fence around it. I want to close up the fence so the cats can't get out and have Garfield join us outside some this summer. He loves the outdoors. I would like to have a little perch outside for him to sleep on when we are out there. He is usually the first one to jump in a window when I open one. I feed him Wellness brand food. He is doing good! (posted 6/4/09)

Scout
Scout

Scout is the best dog we could have asked for! Extremely smart and well behaved. LOVES the kids and especially enjoys playdates with his brother Champ (formerly Spanky) and trips to the dog park. Joe & Elly (posted 3/13/09)

Spanky
Spanky

Here is a liitle update on Oliver, formerly Spanky. Our daughter Amy has had Oliver in agility for the past year +. He is amazing in the training ring, but once you get him into a competition ring, his beagle nose kicks in and she is lucky to get him past the first obstacle! He's a funny little boy. He whines at night to be put in his kennel for bed - he nuzzles under a blanket in his kennel until he is completely covered and then does not get out of his kennel (even if you open the gate) before 7:30am. If you try to get him up earlier, he just burrows further under his blanket. We have a older Choc Lab Dixie that we had when we got Oliver and last summer we got another black-lab mix puppy (Izzy). Izzy and Oliver play pretty rough but for the most part they get along - there is a lot of sibling rivalry between the two of them. We are enjoying all of our dogs. Dixie is 11 now and her Pet Therapy days are limited, but I am hoping Izzy will fill her paw prints. Oliver is not well suited for Pet Therapy work because he is too independent and moody, but still very cute and lovable. Bobbi and family (posted 2/25/09)

Spice
Spice

I just wanted to give you a quick update on the girls. They are both doing well. 3 weeks ago at their vet appt Poppy weighed 4.5 pounds & Spice was up to 5.5 pounds. They go this week to get their first rabies shot. Poppy was so quiet, but she has learned to bark. Spice does most of the talking for sure. We have been having lots of fun with them. They love the back yard, but I am always pulling grasshoppers & frogs out of their mouths. Poppy rarely has potty accidents in the house, but Spice feels free to pee just about anywhere still. Spice always goes to the door & barks to go out to do number two. They love our cat, but he still is not very interested in them. We have been so happy with these little girls and so glad to have them in our family. The Brenne's (9/6/08)

Smokey
Smokey

The boys are doing great. Still not friends with the cat, but the girls love them. They bring alot of good energy to our house. Still have the same names. Have a great summer! Cheryl and the twins
