FOSTER UPDATE: Margaret is an awesome girl that will need the right family to help her bloom. Her experience with humans prior to coming to rescue is very limited so at 5 years old she's learning how to live a well balanced life with humans in the home.
She can be anxious in new situations. She's shown us that she'll need a strong leader in her new home and someone experienced with dogs, so they can help show her what is expected of her as a family member. Giving Margaret rules and boundaries will help set her up for success.
She's in a foster home with 2 other dogs, she does well with them. She's content hanging out with them, but isn't interested much in playing.
Maragret hangs out in her crate when her foster parents aren't home and she does well. She's almost fully potty trained as well. As long as she's in a schedule she doesn't have any accidents.
She likes to go for walks or jogs. She may get a little startled if there is a large group walking past, but with more and more exposure she's getting more acclimated.
This girl is also finding out how great toys are. She likes to carry around tennis balls and plush soft squeaky toys.
****Margaret can be shy with new people and new situations so he requires training held with our partner company. She needs to learn that all humans are safe. This way we can closely work with her and help her on the road to success with a forever family. Once she comes out of her shell she is incredibly sweet!****

Happy Tails Adoption Center is open on Sundays from 12-5pm. We are located at 7940 University Ave NE, Fridley. Dogs are at events based on the availability of their foster family. Please fill out a pre-adoption application so we know you are interested in meeting/adopting one of our animals.

The breeds of our dogs and cats are a "best guess." We often do not know what mix they are and have to base it on what we think they look like, and base it on breeds often found in the area they came from. Most of our dogs who have gotten DNA tests done are 4-10 breeds mixed together. Because their breed mix is a guess we cannot guarantee a "full grown size" of many of our younger animals.

If there is a certain animal you want to meet at one the events please fill out a preadoption application to directly contact their foster family or check our Facebook page to see if they will be there! Their event attendance is based on the availability of their foster family.
All of our cats and dogs are INDOOR pets and are NOT to be left outside unattended (even in a fenced yard), or running loose!
