Amber
About 11 months ago we adopted Honey (formerly Amber) and I thought you might be interested in how she's doing. So here's an update. Honey is doing great and has really settled into our family well. We hired a private trainer to come out and nail down basic obedience so the kids could handle her and take her for walks. She's so smart and really picks things up quickly. I like to hide treats and have her search to find them. We're also working on having the girls hide and Honey seek them. The girls have also taught her some tricks. We're still working on her manners around other dogs, but she's alot better around men then she was when we got her. However, she loves kids, is always patient with them, and loves to join a good game of chase. We were told she'd have a permanent limp but that went away within 2 months. She runs, jumps and plays as if she never had a broken leg. She's perfectly healthy. We think she has just the right mix of energy and calmness for us. We found that she would rather be near us then by herself ,and can usually be found within a few inches of me(she's gotten stepped on more times then I can count because she's right behind me when I turn around). She follows me around constantly. It used to bother me but now I love it. She's uncomfortable with anyone outside the family touching me, and Heaven forbid one of my friends give me a hug. She goes crazy. We have found her to be funny, silly, sweet, beautiful, smart and very well behaved. We love her so much and couldn't have asked for a better dog. We think she loves being in our family also. How could she not? She gets all the attention and affection she could possibly want. She just fits our family perfectly. Thank you for taking care of her until we could find her! Sincerely, Kelly Grubb
